Title: RTX 2080 ti Windforce oc 11g
Post by: danielshaw007 on September 09, 2019, 10:46:48 am
Hi there

I have noticed a Bios update F4 on the support pages, Ive read online its supposed to up the powerlimits and increase cooling ability to help maintain higher boost clocks etc..

The notes say 1. Release for MICRON memory

Now I have the SAMSUNG memory version card.. Is this update still applicable to me? I dont want to flash it and have a nice expensive brick.

Thanks in advance

Greetings,
This is an interesting question.  One might expect to see a v1 or v2 card if they had different memory types.  Not seeing that.

Since there does not appear to be a way to discern, I would recommend reaching out to support.

Also, please note.  Flashing for the sake of having the "latest" is not necessary.  If your card is performing as expected and you are not experiencing any issues, I wouldn't flash.  Reach out to support and see what they say.  Then you can make a decision.

Appreciate it if you would post a follow up as this might help others.
