Title: Z390 AORUS master AIO pump keeps stopping
Post by: iy1992 on December 13, 2019, 03:24:34 pm
Hi my AIO pump keeps randomly stopping causing my CPU to very quickly reach temps over 90 deg.
no matter which of the two pump headers I use this still happens.
I am using SIV to control pump/fan speeds with "auto-fan stop" disabled on the pump header and the minimum workload set to 50% ramping up to 100% at 50 deg, however if set the "RPM fixed mode" the problem still occurs.

I have updated my BIOS to the latest version F10, cleared BIOS settings, uninstalled and reinstalled APP centre and all utilities including SIV and replaced AIO cooler.

Also I am running a relatively fresh install of windows 10 1909 but I did experience the same issue on my previous installation.

The AIO is a Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240L

at this point I am at a loss, I am not sure there is anything more I can do.
I can only assume this is a bug in either the bios or SIV.

any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

this has just happened for about the 4th time since my original post.
still nobody has replied to me, I have just submitted a ticket to gigabyte customer support but I don't hold high hopes.
I would have thought after spending about £250 on a motherboard the customer support would be pretty good, apparently not.
this is my 4th gigabyte board but it will be my last is this isn't resolved quickly.
I am now considering retuning my board and swapping for an asus or something but I don't know of any other boards that have 3x nvme M.2 to support my 3x500GB raid0 NVME Boot drive. I have spent a lot of money on this rig but don't intend on spending another penny on gigabyte products unless this is resolved promptly. smart fan 5 is plastered all over the box and all of the marketing material yet it doesn't work properly! this is an amazing board but the software that comes with it is complete rubbish and as far as im concerned makes my £250 investment a waste but not only a waste but a waste which could easily kill my £450 CPU! can somebody from gigabyte please give me some assistance as I am very quickly loosing faith in your brand.
