I am trying to revert the BMC firmware on my MU-70 motherboard to defualt. Does anybody know what this jumper does before I try it.
ME_RCVR (ME Recovery Jumpers)
There is no description in the manual of what ME Recovery means ?
Thanks
Paul

Greetings,
I thought you were going to contact support regarding the BMC and lack of function after upgrade to R10. What every happened?
There is nothing in the product manual beyond location of the jumpers above the second PCIEx slot. They are for the Intel ME, but nothing about what happens when they are enabled. Documentation is lacking. 57 is listed as a LED in the manual … 57 LED_BMC1 BMC firmware readiness LED - Page 8 , but its obviously a slot. You really need to engage support.

Hello,
Thanks for the reply. I posted a support request a week ago but no reply for obvious reasons. Managed to work out that this jumper is for the Intel Management engine so it's unrelated to the BMC firmware. Still don't have a solution the workstation boots but it just takes about 8-10 minutes whilst the motherboard is trying to load the firmware before it gives up and loads the BIOS.
Cheers
Paul

did you find any solution. i have currently the same error. after the BMC Update to 888 i got the error that BMC can't be initialized any more. downgrade and resetting the settings didn't help

No still stuck with the problem and Gigabyte not very helpful. At one point was going to send board back but didnt hear anything further. I think the 888 update is the cause of the problem. Have you contacted support ?

Dear Roland,
To flash BMC, you should do it under WebUI.
From your description, it is possible flashed the wrong firmware and caused firmware crush. If the previous firmware you updated was 4xx / 8xx, then you will need to flash the firmware with the same series. If the system is still able to boot up, please flash firmware again with rootpath utility\fwud\dos which is in firmware file. Please use a bootable DOS pen drive and flash firmware under DOS mode.
However, if the problem still remains, then please contact your supplier (where you bought this product) for arrange the repair service.
Regards,
GIGABYTE
