Title: X570 Gaming 10 New Build
Post by: pendaws on August 11, 2020, 06:38:11 am
Hi all, I have just purchased new parts to build a computer. Using the latest X570 MB, Ver 1.1, a 970 Evo +, a 5700 Vid (GB too) an AMD 7-3700X CPU, a Silverstone ST75F-GS PSU and Hyper X 2x16gb 3200mhz Ram.
After installing all of the parts, I have tried to boot the machine but nothing happens except the lights on the ram come on. While they are very pretty and would be fantastic if only the machine would boot.
The PSU is a modular one and I have turned around the ONLY harness that I could see may be fitted wrong and STILL nothing. I have come to the conclusion it MAY be the RAM???? According the GB website they say the Board is capable of 3200 mhz for the 1.1 board without the OC in brackets beside it.
Anyone have a clue?

No need to worry, I fixed the issue. Seems that the modular PSU requires one to put the right harness into the right socket.  ;D

Hi there,

nice to know that you were able to sort this issue out.

Modular PSU's are fantastic but, you do need to take care  when connecting things up. Don't worry, it happens to the best of us and I have done this myself on occasion.
