Title: B450 Aorus M not waking from Sleep (Again)
Post by: JaroMehesJr on August 24, 2020, 08:24:50 am
Hello,
updated today to F51 BIOS on my B450 Aorus M (the latest).

Once again, waking from sleep stopped working. Fans start spinning, but no response whatsoever; manual button restart the only option left. Funny this was an issue repeatedly with previous (mostly beta) versions and was fixed in F50. After updating to F51, here we go again.

Any tips except downgrading to F50? There are some 'AMD vulnerabilities fixed' but what the heck.

Setup:
B450 Aorus M rev.1
Ryzen 2700X
HyperX 16 GB KIT DDR4 3200 MHz CL18 Fury
WD Black NVMe SSD 500 GB
Win 10 Pro 2004 (EFI/GPT boot)

Greetings,
I've heard a fair number of complaints from users who upgraded to F50.  However, if it allowed the system to properly wake, I'd recommend returning to it as not being able to wake is a no go from a use standpoint.

I don't think I could deal with that level of disfunction, especially since the vulnerabilities require administrative or physical access.  I'd go back to F50 and wait for F52.
