Greetings,
What are you outputting to?

Type and size of monitor?
Cable type and connection?
Are you using any adapters?

Sounds like a scaling issue.

Hi, I'm currently outputting to a 42inch HD TV using HDMI with no adapters

Greetings,
Depending on the TV brand / type, there might be display options or settings that will allow you to use the TV as an output device.

Things that can cause this behavior (often found in the display device settings):

Zoom or magnification
Native resolution
Scaling

Hardware:
Ensure you are using a high quality HDMI cable from the card to TV

You can also try lowering the resolution of the display and see if that corrects the scaling problem during POST.
