Title: TPM
Post by: Kevin59 on October 04, 2021, 03:50:37 pm
Hi, can anyone tell me if the GA-Z270-HD3P motherboard has TPM installed? By all accounts I will need it to run Windows 11

Greetings,
This board was not listed by Gigabyte as one that would be provided a BIOS update for Windows 11 compliance.  It might run it with a TPM module in some capacity, but I would consider (possibly) upgrading to ensure support if W11 is a must for you.

the other problem with the GA-Z270-HD3P board than just with TPM is that it only supports 6th & 7th gen Intel CPUs which those processors are not supported by Win11

you could try finding & attaching a discrete TPM module on to that board but the other obstacle is the CPU which Win11 setup may deny installation because it is not supported

Greetings,
Natively, it doesn't (only has a header) and Gigabyte has already said they will only release BIOS updates for 300 series and above.

MS also has a minumum CPU requirement.  7th gen CPU's (like 7700K) are not supported.  So even if you can get Windows 11 installed manually, some features as well as updates may not work.  You can wait and see if MS adds it, or buy someting that is supported.  As of this posting, MS will not let you upgrade from 10 > 11 with kabylake CPU.
