Post by: wind2k9 on December 02, 2021, 04:30:10 pm
Hey someone from gigabyte i need help. I have an Aorus 2080TI extreme , and today i opened it to change the TC and also the pads.I was experienced BSOD's (wich they was not reported on the dump folder) when i was running games on high settings on 3440x1440.
When i opened the card i was stunned to see that 1 capacitor is broken and it was "glued" on the thermal pad.
I cant find a replacement on the net..On it is written A81D/C680.
Can you please let me know what are the exact name

Greetings,
I suggest you open a case with eSupport.  Also contact the retailer if this is an option.

Know however, that once you disassemble (which can constitute) modification you might forfeit any warranty claims or coverage.

While you might not be responsible for what you "discovered", you may have difficulty getting support for it.

As far as identifying the broken component, I think you'll be hard pressed to find someone else willing to disassemble their working card to get an ID from a component.  Hope it works out for you.

Right..Shadow i was come here being a gigabyte forum in order maybe someone technical from G can provide the identification for it , or at least a substitute information.
You imagine i know that warranty is void already. But Hey , let's not go into the subject why Gigabyte voids warranty for a simple task as changing the TC. We all know that on 2000 series the internet is full of cases where gigabyte cards have thermal spikes , and thats because the cheap or the bad way of TC coming from factory. No wonder why Gigabyte do not want you change the TC.

So thats beeing said there is no way that e support will give me a good answer , apart from the void warranty copy/paste answer. But i believe that a reputabile company will help their customers at least with a simple information
