Title: B550 Elite AX V2 - Unknown Device in Device Manager
Post by: GeorgeWood on February 25, 2022, 06:55:08 pm
Hi guys,

Just had a new build with a clean install of Windows 11; everything seems to be working just fine but there is a pesky unknowns device in device manager.

Obviously I’ve downloaded all the latest drivers, but to no avail. As I said, everything seems to be working fine, it’s just one of these things that niggles away.

Has anyone had the same issue, or should I just ignore it?

Kind regards,

George

It could be the Bluetooth driver if not. Right click on that network item. Then click Properties and click details and in there click on property and click Hardware ID's. The first one in the list copy the whole thing and paste it on the internet. It should tell you what it is.

Windows 11 isn't really doing driver installs like windows 10 was doing. You can try to go into updates and see if has the option to update other items or devices. That network might be in there.

Greetings,
Just do as dmdilks suggests and use this tool.

Its free, you don't need to donate, although they ask.  Just click off the screen.  Then enter the vendor and device ID.  Will tell you exactly what it is.
