Title: Network Card not identified on cold/ boot, Gives Yellow Alert in device manager
Post by: Fr0mIndiAf0rh3lP on July 06, 2022, 10:38:09 pm
Hello,

I am using https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-Z77X-UP5-TH-rev-10 (https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-Z77X-UP5-TH-rev-10) motherboard.

Everytime I cold/hard boot my computer (turn on electric power buttons then turn on PC)
My Network card gives error (yellow asterisk appears besides card).
I have to uninstall network card, then scan for hardware changes and the same appears properly..

Please help fix this issue.

Thanks.

Greetings,
Verify the version of the driver you have installed now.

Visit this page and consider trying another version (earlier or later) than what you are using now.

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/products/47620/ethernet-products/gigabit-ethernet-controllers-up-to-2-5gbe/intel-82579-gigabit-ethernet-controller/intel-82579lm-gigabit-ethernet-phy.html#support-product-specification

Once you have the driver, Right-click and remove the device, select the checkbox to remove the existing driver.  Restart, run the installer of the new driver you have downloaded.  See if this helps.
