I've purchased the GIGABYTE SUMO 5115 case. But now I need to change the front intake fan. Its very very slow and doesn't cool the interior. How do i get rid of it? It is secured by an aluminium cage. :-\
SOLVED
The front facia can be removed to replace the 120MM intake on this case
Thanks to Dark Mantis :)

I have looked throug the datasheets and manual and can find no info on the fixings at all. I would say just have a good close look at it , can't be that hard! ;)

I tried. But the cage has wierd screws with no dents to fit a screw driver. ???

I don't know but maybe they are using non tamper screws. Have you checked to see if they are metal? You might have to remove the front facia to get at the fan.
-
They are metal. I'll try removing the facia then.
-
Yes , I would think that would be the way to go then.

Sorry to jump in but.....
could you take a couple of photographs and upload them? It would be much easier to offer practical advice if we could see what you're talking about.
Cheers

I looked in the manual but it wasn't very helpfull as far as the front facia or fan goes. Looking at the pictures it just pulls off I would say.
-
I think the front facia is removal, because thats the only way to install optical drives as far as I remember. The case manual is wierd. It doesn't include all the necessary information.
-
No that was my first impression of it, very poorly laid out. Not much in the way of instruction at all.
-
BTW, you have got an awesome rig Dark Mantis. I really like the CM HAF case.

Well thank you for your kind words. It isn't perfect but I am constantly working on it(must put some updated pics up soon). As with anything after you build it there are things that you wished you had done differntly or bought different components but that is always the case. Actualy the case you have was one of the shortlisted items for my build.
