Title: GA-P55A-UD3: can I use the cpu graphics in my I5-650?
Post by: jeperry on August 03, 2010, 02:44:16 am
I bought a P55A-UD3 thinking it would use all the capabilities of the I5-650 processor I ordered with it.  When I assembled the system, I discovered that there wasn't just no VGA adapter, there isn't even a labeled motherboard connector for graphics!  And I can't even use my old AGP-4 graphics card.

Do I have to go back and get a graphics card now? Is there no access to the on-board I5-650 graphics?

No I am afraid your snookered! :'(  It's just another case of doing a bit of homework before jumping in with both feet. You will have to purchase a discrete graphics card to go with your board unless you can get the retailer to take it back and exchange it for another board with graphics capabilities.

No.... you don't say ::)...and Gigabyte site lists or show a pic with the GA-P55A-UD3 not having any VGA adapter for it...but the H55, H57 & Q57 do if you want to use all the capabilities of the I5-650 processor.
