Guess the winner of GIGABYTE GO OC 2009
Vote for the one who you think will win the crown of GIGABYTE Open Overclocking Championship (GO OC) for 2009.
After the GO OC on June 3, we will randomly select 3 winners from the lucky users who predicted correctly.
Predict the BEST 3DMark score at the GO OC event
After the GO OC on June 3, GIGABYTE will pick 2 users whose prediction is equal or nearest to the competition results (but not over) and send the prize to them.

"email not valid message" after registering and validating login details on the site GO OC ???
Entered my guess and got this message,
Any ideas Why,

Yes tried twice and still getting the same message!, ???
I can't find any links to my profile to check my email address, but I did get a activation email so I guess it should be OK, and clicking on the link provided was approved,
The only login screen I see is http://gooc2009.gigabyte.com.tw/web/Eng/gigabyte_action.html you show in your post,( Ahh been every where man),
Is nobody else getting a problem logging in?

Checked my profile all correct,
Click link and account activated,
getting this error now, "The e-mail format is not valid."
Now I reckon if the site can send me an Email it must be OK,
Flummoxed, :'( (don't take much)

first of all, excuse us for the trouble you experience.
pls send me by PM email under which you registered there, then we will check it for you.
and try to enter http://club.gigabyte.com.tw/ website using the same ID/pass which you received for this competition, then tell me the results.

So I went to login and got the same error message, In red this time, "email format invalid" when trying to submit my guess,
Think I had better stick to my abacus :'(

the test shown that you email account is working properly, however the format of your email (probably ".plus.com" at the end) seems not to be accepted by server which is hosting the competition. unfortunately till next Monday nothing can be done with this as the server is placed in Taiwan and there is bank holiday today and tomorrow.
so my suggestion as temporary solution (but enabling you to participate) is to use alternative email account, just ending with @hostname_example.co.uk or @hostname_example.com. I hope this will help :P

Used the postmaster addy and it worked, amyanised ;D
I did input another email addy as suggested, and that did not work either,
thinking about it may be taking a few days to update server details, or as it is a national holiday there I snook under the radar ::)
Any way thanks for your help, we got there in the end ;D legs eyes and legs crossed now,

Only about 10,000 over the top in my guess :o
Them o/clockers really push everything to the limit, luv to be able to do that ;D
Still as a consolation I did get my registration sorted :-X,

See, I guessed around that score the first time (I think I was over maybe)
And then I posted another score, but higher than the final.... but I heard rhumors someone got near that score in the semi's (does that count?)

Oh well, I didn't win. But I still refer to my question.
No where on that list does it say which high score counted. It just says "the highest score". It doesn't specify that it's only the finals, at least, no where I can find. And I looked online and read that in the semi finals, someone broke 30k? (I don't recall if it used PhysX or not) but again, no listing to say if it can or can't include physX?
Maybe someone can clarify? Rui couldn't find out the other day...
