Hi All
Just installed win 7 on a GA-965P-DS3 rev3,3 mobo,E7200, 2gig memory, 9500 Gt,
I have been trying to install and run the virtual Windows xp, but it keeps telling me that hardware assisted virtualisation support is not enabled,
Now I can remember seeing that setting in the old F10 Bios under advanced settings,
But they do not appear in the new updated F14 (think) Bios that were installed when I got this mobo back from an RMA with Gigabyte last week,
Are they now enabled by default in this update, Cant seem to find out on the website of gigabyte tw,
Can anyone help on this problem?

try to press CTRL + F1 under main bios menu, then previously hidden settings will appear, maybe you will find it there. if still no success then go back to F10 bios just for a try:

Thanks for your input,
I have tried your suggestion with no luck,
Checked out the CPU specs with intel and it appears that the E7200 doesn't support VT,(doh)
Thats a bummer,
I will have to try it with my E6300 instead, as it supports native VM,
Drag 'n 'drop comes to mind

ha! i haven't expected that your cpu does not support it, yes in this case change of the cpu may give positive results. pls post a pic of screen when it will be working (xp inside 7)

2 weeks ago changing cpu's I damaged the zif socket and had to send it to you guys to fit a new one!
Got to raise the courage :'(
The general view of 775 zif sockets on the web are that they are only designed for 20 odd uses before loosing tension in the sprung blades,
Whats your experience?
