Title: Updating BIOS broke my RAID
Post by: tedw on June 02, 2009, 03:19:49 pm
Just thought i would mention when updating my BIOS to F7 on my GA-EX58-UD5 it reset my settings back to default including my RIAD config, I then had to recreate my RAID array and when i went back into windows it wanted me to format my drive which had a lot of data on it, I have got around this by running undelete software on the volume but it's still a problem worth mentioning and if anyone has got any suggestions for getting around this.

Are you sure you didin't miss a setting? I updated my BIOS, and after changing settings back to normal (including OC, raid, memory speed, boot options etc) it worked perfectly. I believe you can save a profile to a USB stick before you flash, so it makes it easier.
Since flashed it twice without needing to recreate the array...
