Hi, I purchased a GT-P8000 hybrid tv card and I can't set the record quality at the dvb-t channels record menu.
I'm using the Presto!PVR utility and I've installed a patch from the gigabyte site so I can watch the mpeg4 coded channels.
The record quality option is stuck at good, even after a reinstallation of the Presto and the card's drivers, I can't change it at mpeg2 and mpeg4 coded dvb-t channels.
I know the record format is always set to DVD for all the digital channels and cannot be changed but the recorded video
looks pixelated when it's recorded at good quality. Is there any update to fix this?
I've noticed the same happens at Cyberlink Power Director while at analog channels you can set any quality or video formats you want.
Any suggestions... ???

I know very little about these cards but it sounds to me like a driver issue. If that is right then you are limited to the available drivers.

Thanks for your answer.
If it's a driver issue, is it possible from another software besides presto to record in very good, not pixelated quality?

Absic is the best one to answer that as he is the audio guru on the forum. If anyone can help you he can.

Ah audio but not so good with video. :-\
To be honest not sure about the issues you are facing but I know there can be problems if you are running Windows 7, when it comes to getting Video Capture cards to work properly.
In this situation you might be better off raising a query with Gigabyte Technical Support and seeing if they can help you out.

I'm using this card under windows xp. Everything works great except the record quality I've mentioned.
I'll probably wait until Gigabyte releases any driver or utility update. Thanks anyway.

It might be an idea to take out a question with GGTS so that they formally know about the issue.

Yes I want to inform them but I can't find the section or forum on their website about those kind of issues. I though that they will be somehow informed by this official forum for the card issue I reported. But I'm sure they know this issue on recorded videos since the utility comes with the card they sell.
Can you give me a link so I can contact them? Or an email?
thanks in advance.

The best thing is to make sure that they are aware of it.
