I´m building a system from scratch and need to buy a PSU which is suitable for my GA-P55A-UD4 MoBo. Can anyone help me to choose the correct one? ???

Depends what else you are going to be using, but the Corsair PSU's are pretty solid and are what I would recommend. A minimum of 650 Watts is a good place to start for an average build.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I must admit to being on the same wavelength as absic about this one. The Gigabyte PSUs are very good but you will have a problem getting one in the UK and I don't know about Iceland so I would recommend the Corsair either HX or AX series. They are both excellent and come with a seven year warranty. That alone let's you know how confident the manufacturer is with their quality. As absic says get a bigger one than you think you are going to need because of two things,
1) Several years down the line you might want more power hungry hardware than you run at present
2) Power supplies gradually lose their ability to output the same amount of power as they were originally designed for. So within a couple of years your average 650W PSU has dropped to about a 500W output in reality.

Which graphics card are you running, and how many, cfx or sli? how many hard drives? what cooling do you have, how many fans, what type of fans, do have a lot of case lights.
I remember a fews years ago, I added a cold cathode and after my system wouldn't even boot, then upgraded psu and all was fine after. Everything taxes a little power from the psu.
