Title: T1005M: How to disable USB 3.
Post by: Lyta Allexander on October 17, 2010, 10:45:02 pm

I go into the smart manager and it has no option to turn USB3 off, then again i don't even know if it is on by default.

Thanks for any help, trying to get the real battery life, was told that USB uses up more than an Hours power, so I WANT it oFF.

Thanks.

I am not familiar with the notebook but normally it is enabled/disabled in the BIOS. It can also be disabled in Device Manager of course.

There is nothing about USB in the BIOS, though the smart Manager has a USB3 option, must be the only place I can turn it off, other than the device manager.

I just did a full run down of the netbook to get the battery for a real first charge, hopefully I can get more than 5 hours from it.

Out.
