-
Well, thanks for the vote of confidence Jannie it's much appreciated.

I didn't know so many of us felt the same way ;D Thanks Jannie nice thought.

Hey, yeah, come on Gigabyte! They're doing a much better job than your tech support ;D
-
I've got to say that I'm surprised that Gigabyte don't do more to support these guys as they do an awesome job.
I actually thought they worked for Gigabyte and was shocked to discover that neither of them do and that they have no real support from Gigabyte at all which makes their efforts even more amazing.
Come on Gigabyte, you can give away enough bits to have them reviewed and increase your sales, supply these guys with the kit to continue helping your customer's who come to this forum and must be reducing the amount of queries raised at what is laughingly called Technical Support!!!

Hi Vitualcrowbar,,,,Yes I was under the same impression as you and thought they were employed by Gigabyte,,Since I joined this forum, these guys have helped me tremondously and advised me on mobo's to buy, which is now 3, not to mention the psu's etc..god their are some companys out there that should be very thankfull to absic and dm ( even if they are english lol )
Well I will get of my soap box now and start doing some sweeping
-
Yes, for sure. These guys have been absolutely invaluable when it comes to providing up-to-date information, specs, and advice on how to set up systems using the Gigabyte products. Come on Gigabyte, open your eyes and send them more hardware so they can continue to help and enlarge your great customer base!

I have to say, without the help of Absic and DM, I would never have gotten my system up and running. This is the place to go when you need expert help in configuring a new built system that doesn't perform properly A BIG THANKS for your continued help and superior guidance in getting my sys up and running PROPERLY! Could never have done this without you!!! All I can say is keep supporting these guys!
-
Hi All..I just read a post where DM says the forum has 5000 members now, and I bet these two guys helped more than the seven votes we have in our poll. It has 126 veiws. Well it looks to me like it must be very easy to build your own computer and so difficult to put a tick in a box...Come on people..give these guys the support they deserve.. ::)
-
Yes, I second everything that has been said about the total dedication these guys have on this forum.
They deserve an awful lot more appreciation from Gigabyte.
I was originally directed to this forum,by Gigabyte, after my question couldnt be answered, by Gigabyte, so they are fully aware of how proffesionall and accurate the answers are on here. (unlike my spelling lol...sorry)
Anyway lets have this poll on the home page when you log on so everyone can see it AND VOTE!!!!!
and say a big thanks to all the moderators who give there time and knowledge on here (TY DM)
-
I agree, and know from first hand experience helping Gigabyte users just how hard it can be to help people when you only have older hardware.
I really like the Yes/Yes voting options too ;D

Wow, that's scarey if it's true! So, what you're saying is, Gigabyte feels the froum can help you more than they can! :o
-
Well without boasting but we certainly do it faster ;)
-
I have to say that so far, I haven't need to really post a technical question as I have found the answers here.
You and absic are doing a great job and I for one appreciate all your efforts!
-
Thank you, it's nice to know we're appreciated.
DM is now smiling inanely as he dribbles into his cup of tea and his little halo is shining brightly. :D
-
Can you see the glow from there?
No it is nice to know that at least some people appreciate the help we try to provide. I am suprised that so many have read the thread but not even pressed the button. Maybe most members don't really care that much at all. ???
-
We can all see the glow from scotland, you've been renamed Bright Mantis
-
Thanks Jannie does that mean I get an automatic pass to heaven? Because I think it could be handy.
-
Yea..Your An angell In Disguise ;D

I appreciate all for the efforts and supports.

As I suggested few months ago Gigabyte should invest some money for this forum, e.g. hire absic or Dark Mantis, because both of them have done a great job to help the users, much much much better than the official online Global Technical Service (GTS). If you don't believe, try to submit a question to GTS and to this forum at the same time and you will know how fast both guy replies to your question/problem. In many cases, the response is faster than if you spend time to study the manual by your own (well we should not exploit this advantage)! Your post will usually receive their attention for not more than 12 hours... come on this is the best a human can serve, we need time to sleep/rest, right?
Statistic obtained on 2010-10-29 (12:50pm)
Dark Mantis - Post: 5222 / Karma: 209
absic - Post: 1889 / Karma: 94
runn3R - Post: 998 / Karma: 28
onemilimeter - Post: 247 / Karma28
Look at the number of posts and karmas these two guys have made and received. runn3R has done a great job to maintain the forum in great order and has benefited many users. The same applied to Dark Mantis and absic... Look at their karmas... really impressive!
By the way, I'm not too bad as I received the same karmas as runn3R ;D
And, it's my GA-X58A-UD3R (Rev. 1) that helped Gigabyte UK to identify the "high-pitched" noise (http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,1426.0.html) and eventually roll out a workable solution. So, Gigabyte should also reward me a NEW, noise-FREE, and FREE UD3R or upgrade my current problematic board to a higher version board. ;)
runn3R, you're the most supportive Gigabyte staff when I dealt with Gigabyte UK to address the noise problem of my board. I believe you will be able to convince the Gigabyte UK or HQ to provide the right products for both guys so that they can provide better help and support for the users here. I think this is the best deal in the world that if someone who has great vision and knows about business will not let it go easily. They're not paid, they spend most of their valuable time helping the users dedicatedly, they spend their own money to pay the electricity bill of their computer. If I've the chance to meet the Chairman/President/VicePresident of Gigabyte I'm sure they will be convinced and provide the right products for absics and Dark Mantis to evaluate and hence to give better support help.

I am late to the party but still would like to throw my two bits in.
Both absic and DM were both very helpful in getting my first build up and running and stable. absic took time out of his Sunday to measure/re-measure the dimensions for a D-14 to help me determine if it would fit in my case before purchase. That was greatly appreciated. DM helped me with my ram issues and recommended ways to test them.
Thanks, again.
-
Thanx CanUK,,Hey better late than never...Yeh they do work hard for their ( no money )..
Sorry to hear ABSIC missed his Sunday porridge. ::)
-
I too come late to this post.. :-[
Yes...The" Two Amigos " are awesome...Are you listening Gigabyte?...
They are great help to those of us on the front lines..

...Are you listening Gigabyte?...
Yes we are :)
-
Hi absic and dm... Pls update us to see if Gigabyte listen to us...
-
Hi onemilimeter,
I take it you are very busy at the moment as we haven't seen much of you on the forum recently. Shall we just say that we are getting a bit more recognition and I think it is fair to say trust from Gigabyte for our efforts. Still unemployed though! ::)
I don't know how absic sees it.
-
I was always told if you don't have something nice to say, say nothing!

We have swapped your MB and PSU into the brand new ones some time ago. If you want your MB to be completely noise-free you can apply for RMA as the hardware fix is already available.

Done, according to the possibilities of course ;)
