Title: What means all this_
Post by: SAINT19 on October 26, 2010, 04:24:42 am
Hi people.

Currently I have the UD5 with a 1090T and 4GB Crucial ballistix tracer 1600 but I can't do that the rig run stable with the RAM @ 1600.

I want to know what means all this stuffs and which is the best value for those.

1- ProcOdt(ohms)
2- DQS Drive Strength
3- Data Drive Strength
4- MEMCLK Drive Strength
5- Addr/Cmd Drive Strength
6- CS/ODT Drive Strength
7- CKE Drive Strength

In the old MSI mobo i just selected the CL and voltage and the rig ran without problems, but with this Gigabyte mobo i set the defaults timings for the RAM (8-8-8-24-2T) and the rig frozen in some point when I'm playing or surfing the web.

What I'm doing wrong?

Hi and welcome to the Giabyte Forum.

The first thing is that it isn't even safe to run your memory at 1600Mhz on that system. AMD recommend no higher than 1333Mhz or damage to the CPU might result. Anything higher than this can damage the memory controlers on the CPU. You would be better off dropping back to recommended speeds and tightening your timimgs maybe. ;)
I would advise reading this thread that absic wrote regarding the memory and AMD chips:
