Hi,
I am interested in running a Phenom II 965 (125w C3) on a GA-MA78G-DS3HP, but it isnt listed in the Cpu support list, only the 140w C2 model is (and it isnt supported). The latest firmware even supports two X6 models both 125w. I am just wondering whether the 125w C3 965 is actually supported and was just overlooked when the list was updated?? because it seems odd that it isnt even listed, when it is on all the other motherboards.
Thanks

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.
I wouldn't be at all suprised if you are not right in your assumption but to make sure I would advise just checking with GGTS.
Absic or one of the other AMD members might know and be able to help also. ;)

Hi there,
Sorry I don't know the answer to this one, it could just be a Typo as you have stated but I wouldn't take a chance on that being the case.
As much as it hurts me to say this, I agree with DM here and think you would be prudent to ask Tech Support, before spending your hard earned dollars.

Yeah i have raised the question with GGTS as DM recommended, I'll post the outcome when they respond. :)

After contacting ggts i have been informed that it does infact support the 125w Phenom II 965 with the latest bios :)
I noticed that they still have not updated their cpu support page though lol

Thanks for letting us know that the 965 is supported but I agree that it would be nice if the Support list was updated to show this.
