But the ...A.. models will be available wordwide as I understand! Did they say anything about a release date?
-
new model name GA-EX58-EXTREME2 will be used, instead of GA-EX58A-EXTREME
-
Ahh ok, thanks for clearing this up :) Do you know a roughly release date, I mean, do I have to wait till September, October, or maybe July ;D
-
Will these have support for the upcoming 6 core i7's (core i9 ???), and will my board have support also?

roughly it's in Aug / Sep, but it will be probably hard to get them in EU :(

Yes, all X58 boards will be compatible with the upcoming Intel Gulftown CPUs (32nm and 6-core), just a bios update!
-
6 core!! Ok it might be time to upgrade. I'm still on a two core bad boy! I think I still have a socket 7 somewhere (not old enough to win the 'oldest motherboard comp though :-[)

What does this extreme 2 give over the extreme1 ?
-
It should have SATA 3 (6 Gbit/s), USB 3.0 and 3x more power in USB, the same as these ones: http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,763.0.html
Here is some early version photo:

It may be hoping for a lot, but is that the same cooling array used on the first generation boards? I'm looking at some waterblocks for mine (finally), and if they won't fit on this one I may as well wait until I upgrade the motherboard.
Any chance the 220 (approx) bsck limit is higher on these boards, without the stress of cracking out the high temperature soldering iron?
First I've seen of this board, thank you for posting it :)

Any news on when this board will be released in Europe?
-
Beginning of Dec, estimated
Have a look at early video review: http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,799.0.html
