Hello I'm new here and i have a small issue. After a bios flash from version f3 to f5 on ma790gp-ds4h temps on cpu went up nearly 20 C. It used to idol around 27 C now its up to 48 C. Anyone have any suggestions?

My guess (and it is only a guess) is the old BIOS was not reporting the temperature correctly. 27°C (80°F) sounds unfeasably low for any CPU unless you are in an air conditioned room (around 21°C, 70°F) and have a monster heat sink. 48°C (118°F) sound far more likely, especially if you've got a standard CPU cooler on a standard (i.e. not black edition) CPU.

Thank you for your reply. I use a amd 940(black) stock heatsink in an antec 900 case( 4 intake and 2 exhaust fans). If those temps I'm getting now seem to you to be standard should i consider upgrading heatsink-I do a fare amount of gaming and was scared to even try when i saw the new temps.
