I am looking to upgrade my PC and have chosen the GA-MA7700-UD3 and was planning on getting an AMD Phenom 7850!
But looking at the compatability guide for the Rev 2 version of this model, its not listed:
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/CPUSupport_Model.aspx?ModelName=GA-MA770-UD3&ProductVersion=rev. 2.0#anchor_os
However, the Rev 1 version does:
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/CPUSupport_Model.aspx?ModelName=GA-MA770-UD3&ProductVersion=rev. 1.0#anchor_os
As do all the other (DS3/US3):
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/CPUSupport_Model.aspx?ModelName=GA-MA770-DS3&ProductVersion=rev. 2.0#anchor_os
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/CPUSupport_Model.aspx?ModelName=GA-MA770-US3&ProductVersion=rev. 2.0#anchor_os
Surely this isn't right? Is this a mistake?
Can anyone confirm whether the UD3 Rev 2 varient of this board DOES support the 7850?

I have been looking at this again today and can see something curious/worrying...
On most of the boards which DO support the 7850, it shows a different BIOS version for the 7850, compared to say, the 7750...
This implies that the 7850 is slightly different and requires new BIOS... But for the GA-MA770-UD3, there arn't any new versions available (other than FB, which says nothing about the 7850)....
Surely they can't have released a board which doesn't support one of the popular AMD chips? Have they??

GA-MA770-UD3 Rev.2.0 does support Phenom 7850 when you have this newest FCa bios (http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/upload/files/BIOS_MA770-UD3_R2_FCa.zip) loaded into the mb.
Info at the website will be updated soon
