Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

Have you just purchased this board if so I would take it back for a replacement as it is damaged.

It is most likely because of the damaged pin that it won't post. However your GPU is quite a power drain and so just to make sure I would suggest removing the power lead from it and see if it makes any difference to the boot. Does it make any beeps at all?

No...but maybe the broken pin does!

It's just that you don't have any idea when you have no beep code to go by. As it happens it might not even produce a beep but it would be nice to know.

Well as you have  a broken and not bent pin I would advise that you RMA the board back to the retailer and explain that it was like this from new when you examined the board. Be ready for them to say that you did it as that will probably be ther next rejoinder but just stick to your guns and ask for the manager and don't take no for an answer.

You haven't put in your profile where you are so I can't offer any detailed advice.

Hi
Well if it is only a single bent pin I would suggest if you are deft enough with your hands to try and straighten it again. You will need a magnifing glass and some tweezers but if you are careful it is perfectly possible.

I agree! Bent pins as long as they aren't too bent, can be simply straightened out. Had to do this on my motherboard when I first bought it but has been running strong since. Just be careful not to snap it though!

You haven't included your location in tour profile so I can't give you any advice on RMA as an option instead.

It might be worth finding out how Gigabyte Australia views the bent pin problem from a RMA point of view as different countries seem to have a different outlook on it. If you think you can sort it yourself then fine if not try asking the manufacturer. ;)

it appears that I got it from eBay.. And I tried straightening the pins and stuffed up on some more I cannot contact gigabyte in aus because they don't have their own branch and I just stuffed it up even more trying to fix it. I heard I can send it back still..
