Hello All ! :o

I just completed this new build and when i powered up it would not start 1

The self test power button is lit up and when i pressed it nothing  >:(

i did notice that two leds were on one green and one yellow i have tried all the ram seperate in the white slots and still nothing tried moving the graphics card to a new slot and nothing i also tried clearing the cmos and nothing basically i have tried all i know and nothing!!!!!

any help / suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated as i feel the next step might be my framing hammer ;D

this is not my first build but i am by far not a rocket scientist when it comes to this just have a love for computers.

just trying to see if there might be a way to solve this without having to pull the cpu

Sorry, have to ask... 24 pin and 8 Pin plug connected to the motherboard?

If so, your next step would be to test it outside of the case, and off the motherboard tray with minimal hardware (CPU, 1 stick of ram in white slot, and GFX card only)

If that fails, remove the CPU and check that you do not have any bent CPU socket pins.

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

It would help greatly if you could list your components in detail please as it is hard to comment when we don't know what we are dealing with.

Did you try it outside of the case yet?

Have you checked for bent pins in the CPU socket?

That PSU may not be enough to run X58.

You may also want to see our discussion about this power supply here, looks like the 12V ATX Connector needed modified, yours may too

The next thing is to remove the motherboard form the case and test it on the workbench.

Make sure that you observe anti-static precautions.

Lay some cardboard or use the motherboard box that is non-conductive on the worktop and remove the motherboard/CPU/heatsink/fan/buzzer/one stick of memory and PSU from the case and put it on the cardboard.

Add the keyboard and now I know you haven't got any graphics but try and boot.

The system should try and then fail emitting a series of beeps. Please post what sounds it makes.
