I am not sure why but if you have a GA-890FXA-UD5 and you flash the bios to F6 then in the cpu multiplier you dont get half numbers anymore it goes whole numbers only. Like from 16 to 17 to 18 not 16 to 16.5 to 17 to 17.5 like it used to. Just wanted to put this info out there so others dont get suprised.

we know that
if you wanna have half numers then go back to F4

OR wait till F7 maybe. Was more of an informational post and not a gripe. Doesn't bother me at all. I just wanted anyone else that was considering flashing to F6 to know ahead of time. Only other difference i was able to tell was that with F4 i crashed 5 to 10 minutes into battlefield bad company 2 because of my overclock. I went back to 3.6 and 1600 ram and didnt crash and it was only that 1 game all other games ran fine but with F6 i am at 3.8 and 1600 ram and no crash.
Something got fixed there though i cant tell you what.

really?
well thats some useful info...
thanks for the tip

I have the Same setup basically. try running in windows basic for the game. or your settings in the bios are not quite right for optimum performance. Especially your memory tiiming. if needed....here are some settings to help you get more out of the rig. also

core speed 856mhz
nb speed 2354mhz
nb multiplier 11x
PCIe speed 105mhz
core multiplier 4x
hypertransport link: 2353mhz : max width in and out should be 16 bits
