Title: SLI Motherboard
Post by: ChrisH on January 15, 2011, 06:52:22 pm
I have just installed a gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H Mobo with 2 x gts 450 graphics, everything works, the cards are seen, I have win7-64 but SLI doesn'r, I believe it may be because i need a bridge. I contacted the Mobo prov who sent me a bridge (made by ASUS) which still doesn't give me SLI, anyone have any idea??

 GA-890GPA-UD3H
 Multi-Graphics Technology
1.Support for ATI CrossFireX

After AMD acquired graphics card maker ATI in July, 2006, Nvidia has diminished SLI support on AMD motherboards. The GA-890GPA-UD3H contains no SLI chipset and doesn't support Nvidia SLI Multi-Graphics Technology

What Tiger said is correct but there is a way around it by a software fix. If you do a search of the forum I am sure that you will be able to find the details.

Check out this thread for more details.

I have never used a forum before & you guys are a mind of information, the SLi Patch works a treat, thank you very much. I have tried to contact the varying vendors re my problem i.e. gigabyte ,Nvidia,Ati but i suppose as it is a contractual thing between ATI/Gigabyte then perhaps they are reluctant to inpart the info, pity really, anyway for those who are still interested....SLI Patch 0.9B for ALL operation systems, version 0.9 beta is all thats needed.

The advice to Google is brill..

That's the thing all we can do is to pass on the info to other interested members. ;)
