Title: GA-MA790GP-UD4H Temp sensors.
Post by: Tinkerer on August 03, 2009, 05:40:45 pm
Has anyone figured out where the temp sensors are located on the GA-MA790GP-UD4H motherboard?

My guess

Temp 1- Doesn't change much. Stays around 35-38 C all the time. SOmewhere far away from the CPU and Northbridge.
Temp 2- Hottest part of the CPU.  This sensor is always hotter (varies between 2C(idle)-12C (load) than what my Phenom II 940 reports as the Core temperature.  It also heats up and cools down faster than the Core temp.
Temp 3 - Northbridge?  Heats up some after running under load for awhile.

These are as detected by Speedfan.  Other programs give similar numbers.  Mostly I am just curious.

Temp 1- system temp measured by thermal resistor connected to IT8718F
Temp 2- CPU temp
Temp 3 - no idea, check Speedfan software maker
