Title: P35-DS3P SHOW OVERCLOCKED PROCESSOR, BUT AT POST IS NOT
Post by: amatheu on February 08, 2011, 01:01:20 pm
Hi, I need some help I have a weird thing, I overclock my processor (Q9450) at 3.00 Mhz I saw everything ok in the BIOS but when I boot, the processor show the original speed, 2.66Mhz! I went back to the BIOS and the settings are there  Multiplier  8 clock 375 = 3.00 but is not show the 3.00 at POST, before I don't have this problem, I thinking maybe a patch for the processor or some update in windows 7 preventing the processor to overclock?? any help is appreciate.  I can see at POST  processor ID :some numbers   Patch: 0000   ??? ???

Try using CPU-Z and see what that reports your processors speed at. ;)
