Title: Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3 Sound skipping with harddisk access
Post by: garteth on August 15, 2009, 02:06:33 am
i've recently built a system with a gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3 motherboard. Here are the specs

AMD Athlon X2 6000+
2x 500GB WD Harddisks
6GB OCZ/Crucial RAM
Windows Vista 64 Ultimate

I've recently noticed that installing programs while listening to audio causes the audio to skip quite badly. I'm sure this hasn't happened on my previous systems so I'm wondering if anyone has any insight into what the problem might be. Another problem ive noticed is sometimes the pc doesnt boot it posts and gets ready to boot but then a cursor flashes on the screen and it does nothing. A reset seems to allow it to boot but this does sometimes happen which is a bit disconcerting. I've updated to the latest bios and drivers the problems are still apparant so i'm pretty lost as to what else I can do.

Any help appreciated
Thanks
Gareth
