Title: Gigabyte Memory support
Post by: lordgortex on August 19, 2009, 08:27:10 pm
I am about to RMA my memory Corsair CM2X2048-6400C5C  { 1 faulty stick } and am not sure if I should replace it or get a refund , as it is not on the motherboard support list GA-M720-US3  , I am running 1 stick at the moment but dont know if running 2 sticks in dual channel will give me any problems ,can anybody give me some advice please . ;D

I've just had a look at the Corsair website and they don't have this board in their list (so I assume its a pretty new design) as their recommendations are usually pretty good when it comes to compatible memory. Thier suggestion certainly works in my case even though the memory they suggested isn't listed on the Gigabyte compatibility list for my board. As they don't have the board on the website it might be worth dropping them a line to get their opinion.
