Hello, I'm new to the board.
I guess I'm one of the few people who got a new swap for the 6 series chipset. I walked in and got a new board and wasn't asked anything. I could've swapped it for a different board, but I was praying that this board didn't disappoint. so I tried it again with the b3 stepping. One thing I'm just curious with. when I looked on the Gigabyte download page, the revision says. Rev 1.1 mobo for the P67A-UD3-B3. On my mobo it says Rev. 1.0. Does that make much difference to downloading drivers and bios for it?
I have notice that the new board doesn't seem to have any lag like the one without the B3 stepping. Also it looks like the design/layout has changed a bit. I can reach certain areas I couldn't before. I haven't tried overclocking it yet, but I may try it in the near future. So far so good.

They will be the same, you are good to go.

I expect that once the original supply of motherboard PCBs runs out and the next batch are fabricated they will have the revision printing changed to 1.1.
As Lsdmeasap said though I am sure there is nothing different in reality.

Ya they only thing changed is the B3 chipset, and I think some models have a new audio codec, but that's it for now.
Once rev. 1.1 boards come out, other changes may also be made but I haven't heard of any yet, could just be the B3 actually printed on the new PCB's would be the only new change?

thatguythenorm, thanks for sharing your story here! I believe many people are patiently waiting for the new B-3 versions to ship. Please continue to keep us updated on how your new P67A-UD3-B3 works and if you have any challenges. Also, if you overclocked it, how did it work.
Can you tell us which BIOS number is loaded on this new P67A-UD3-B3?
I have a very specific interest because my new P67A-UD3-B3 just shipped two days ago from the other side our our country and I should have it any day! Kinda excited about putting it all together.
May I ask what RAM you chose for your P67A-UD3-B3 build?

Soar, mine was shipped with the F2 bios. the first day I put it in, checked the bios on gigabyte download page and there was no bios update. A couple of days later the F2 was available... which didn't make much difference. So far everything else has been good to me. I will keep you guys posted. I am hoping they will implement the EFi display in a future bios upgrade.
As far as RAM I went with Patriot Sector5 PC-10666 1333Mhz. So I have 8 gigs. Nothing to fancy I don't think. I think I should've waited, but at the time I went with what my budget could afford. And a build for under 600 bucks was way lower then what I expected to pay for it.

Thanks for the heads up on the F2 and no EFi yet. Those Patriot RAM sticks should do the job for you. It sounds as if you got a great deal on all the components and if purchased as a whole would have cost you much, much more.

yeah they are working so far. I have no complaint about anything else really. I was hesitant at first about the build and when the board was acting up the first time around. I was just gonna return it and get a different board. But My brother and brother in law both have the Gigabyte boards, and I wanted to go their route for a build. Which was the i7 with X58 route, but didn't wanna spend over a grand on the build. I am happy with what I have, and it performs well so far. So again no complaints. I will post up if I decide to OC.

Well your build will be as fast as any of the X58 boards and with the potential to be even faster with some overclocking.

No difference for sure. Especially that I asked for website to be updated - there is Rev.1.x now (http://uk.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3765)

Yes had already noticed that this morning runn3R. Hopefully it will save a lot of confusion as there have been several references to it.
