Hello, my system specs are gigabyte ud3r x58a, gigabyte gtx 480, kingston 1600mhz, intel i7 960 3,2-,3
I dont know if the "problem are from the monitor" or from the graphic card.
i have some tearings in the games when i dont have enable the v-sync and i have a lot of fps, i use the latest drivers 266.58, i hope gigabyte make better drivers for that card.
Dark Mantis i waiting reply from you ;)
thanks all.

Well as I said before normally I would expect to disable the V-sync unless you are using a CRT. It sounds like the cards having problems keeping the frame rates up but you say you are getting a good frame rate. Have you tried dropping the frame rate to see if it still occurs ?
-
If you can borrow a mates monitor you'll soon see if its a graphics issue or monitor prob.
Even though Gigabyte branded card, its nvidia who make the drivers
-
yeap sorry drivers nvidia, dm im sure i dont have any problem in my card, im SURe is the monitor.
i have a greek monitor, lg E2240 .
-
You might be over driving the monitor if it isn't a very good one. As oggmonster said try using a different one to test the theory. That is the easiest option.
-
you mean i must unistall drivers from the monitor? i didnt understant.
-
No not at all, just borrow a friends monitor, disconnect yours and plug his in instead and see if you get the same problem or not.
-
maybe i need configure settings of nvidia control panel ? any recomended settings? i have them auto "let the 3d application decide"
-
Of course you can play around with settings but if you are unsure I would advise you to leave them on Auto.
-
can you tell me what to test ? i mean what i must check to see if its ok , from what this problem must be hdd? mobo? card? drivers ?
tell me some steps to do what to look for.
-
I am not sure I understand your question.
Have you changed the monitor and did it make a difference ? There is no need to test anything other than that if it is working ok now.
-
on bios i have it just PCI, it has more options pci -e pci e x16 and some more maybe there need somethink?
-
Hi
It should be set to PCIE x16 for primary display device
-
so default "Pci" is wrong ?
-
Yes unless you have a PCI gaphics card.
-
gtx 480 i have :), i hope not damaged.
-
No it won't have damaged the card, it just tells the machine where to look first for the GPU. It is more to save time than anything but it also makes sure that it is found.
-
the gpu- z program shows me that my card working 16x 16 pci express..
-
That would be correct then. Obviously the card is ok.
-
sorry if is ilegal to upload theese fotos here warn me if is not ok.
-
No problem with uploading the picture. ;)
It shows you card is working fine as far as settings goes.
I have been talking to someone else that had a similar problem on another forum I administrate and he found the same that he got better display with the VSync enabled. He was using nVidia cards as well. So it could be a driver problem.
-
you know my card, can you tell me what steps to do ?
-
Hi
I am afraid I don't really know your card thjat well as I use the AMD Radeon 6970 GPU myself and don't have access to any nVida cards so I only know from the forum etc. Sorry. :-\
I expect someone with a card can help you though.
-
what monitor do you have? and you have any tearrings ?
-
I have a Iiyama B2712HDS 27" LCD for my main monitor and an Iiyama 22" as secondary. No, no tearing or any other problems.
-
my monitor is 60 hz and 5 ms.
maybe this is why i have in some new games that "problem"
-
60Hz and 5ms are fairly standard specs for a modern LCD monitor. :-\
-
i know i know, maybe because i have ahci have that problem ? im just asking i dont know...
maybe is a driver motherboard or the irst driver for the ssd and my Hdds?
-
Hi but I think you are grasping at straws here. There is no reason a hard disk driver or something similar would affect your graphics on hte monitor like that.
-
at many forums they say this is normal.. in some games i dont know .... you see no one coming to tell me somethink :p they just bored to write on the forum ...
-
The only thing you can do is try another forum if you don't get any reply where you have posted. Try a few different places and hopefully you will find someone to help.
