Title: Award BootBlock BIOS v1.0 on startup
Post by: AdamD on September 12, 2009, 07:51:51 pm
Hey all, I would appreciate some help with a problem which has just started with my Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3P V2.0

I turned it on last night and it came up with a message saying

Award BootBlock BIOS v1.0

Scanning BIOS Image in Hard Drive

And it stuck there and didn't go any farther
I tried resetting the CMOS by shorting the jumper, as well as removing the battery, to no avail
I partitioned a 2gb partition on a spare harddrive (fat16) and copied the bios to it, then turned the computer on again with the harddrive attached, this time it got a bit farther, it said

BIOS Auto-Recovering

And it sat there, two hours went by with no obvious signs of activity, so I tried again, same thing
I tried another bios version, same thing again
I tried using a SATA Dvd-RW drive with the motherboard CD, but that didn't work either, as soon as it got to the "Scanning BIOS image in harddrive" it turned off, then came back on, went off again, then came on and repeated this over and over.

Any help, would be greatly appreciated!
