Title: No XMP option in BIOS
Post by: supasox on July 21, 2011, 11:42:06 am: I have a GA-P55-USB3 motherboard with an Intel Core i5 750 processor and 2 x 2GB of Kingston HyperX DDR3 1600 RAM. I've flashed the BIOS to F8.

I'd like to get the RAM running at its designated speed as it's only running at 1333 at the moment. Reading the forums it appears I should have an option to set an XMP profile, but I can't see this option anywhere!

Can anyone suggest why this is and what I might be able to do to work around this please?

Post by: Dark Mantis on July 21, 2011, 12:20:34 pm: As Allan says usually if your modules come with an XMP setting attached the option will appear in the BIOS, if it doesn't chances are that your memory doesn't have one. Try looking in CPU-Z in the SPD tab to see what options shopuld be available to you.

You can of course try inputting the settings manually as it should have the same effect.

CPU-Z appears to show several available profiles - I guess I just need to read-up a little and do it manually!
