Title: Gigabyte 570 OC Temps?
Post by: johnnyw on August 03, 2011, 03:23:30 pm
So just got my GTX 570 OC card today, played some games and runned some benchmarks and its been working fine but then noticed temps are kinda high compared what ive seen peoples reporting around net for this card. Im getting like 65-70c depeding on game when most peoples are reporting to get temps more like 55c?

Also runned 10mins of kombustor and temp settled to 69c. Airflow should be problem as i have silverstone FT02 case and it has 180mm fan blowing cool air directly to gfx card. Ambient temp here is now around 26c.

Hi

To be honest your tempertures didn't seem to be that high to me although I don't run that card myself. They are certainly not high enough to be concerned about.  maybe somebody that actually uses this card could comment but I wouldn't take too much notice of other peoples posting of temps in general.

Ye i guess those arent that bad but i do think those are bit high for this card. My reference model card i had before this runned like 80c and gigabyte claims that this card is 24% cooler than reference so ideally that should mean temps like 60c.

But anyway if someone has this 570 windforce X3 model i would like to hear what kind of temps you guys are getting.

Yes you can't always rely on the advertising! ::)

My friend had this card and there is nothing to worry about the temperature. It's normal to be that high even though 70°C isn't that much of high :)
Don't take everything you read to be true because people like to brag a lot and as Mantis said... well, advertising will always be advertising :)
