Title: Gigabyte X58 UD4P Overclocking Runs (56k beware)

My baby!

CPU Cooling - XSPC Delta V3 + Koolance Copper 480 rad
Mobo cooling - EK full blocks + XSPC 240 rad

Got board whilst trying to boot with 4.7Ghz and decided to try out some things... Seems setting your board to "standard" is better than "turbo" or "extreme" at stock speeds, going to do a comparision with higher overclocks but I think it's going to be the same...

Interestingly though, "turbo" dishes out the same results as "standard"

Some more results with Pi and Standard / Turbo / Extreme settings!

At 4Ghz "Turbo" mode does indeed benifet the CPU's performance :D

Theory tested with both 191 x 21 (TB) and 200 x 20 (TB Off) with 191 x 21 coming out on top by - wait for it - 0.001s

Results for 4.2Ghz!!!

Since breaking the 200BCLK "Extreme" setting shows it's colours and brings 210x20 above turbo boost! So less volts, less heat and more performance! (winning by 0.016s)

Hope that helps some more people - testing 4.4Ghz but I've got some wierd results so far....

Why is the 1.376Vcore blacked out?
I think my best PI was a hair under 9 seconds with 4.42Ghz, but I don't have a ss :(

Also, if you want higher clocks try disabling HT and possibly to of the cores, so overclocking is a bit easier. Super PI I don't think takes advantage of more than 1 core?

My chip does 4.6Ghz easy so no worries there :P The voltage is blacked because it kept showing incorrectly - minor BIOS bug -

I just meant the actual results were a bit wierd so in the process of re-doing them :P

Impressive, what are your temps + volts like at 4.5ghz?

Not THAT bad to be honest, I still haven't hit 1.45v and temps are ~70c 100% load @ 4.5Ghz :)

Going to hook up the other 480 rad whilst Im not cooling the GPU
