I'm using the Gigabyte X58A-UD3R mobo and I just updated my BIOS from FF to FG1. It seems to have solved the problem I was having with BSODs, so I'd like to get an idea about what has changed in this BIOS update so that I work out if my BSOD problem is gone.
Does anyone know if Gigabyte makes any documentation or explanation about their new BIOS available?
Thanks

Hi and welcome.
No I am afraid, like many manufacturers, Gigabyte doesn't release a lot of information along with it's BIOS update files.

Oh, that's annoying.
I bet it's because they update the BIOS to address problems they've identified, and if they tell people what the problems were people may know to blame gigabyte for certain things.
...or maybe its because they just can't be bothered.
Thanks for the info

I think it is more likely the second option! Also I think a lot of the BIOS writing is done in the Far East and some do not have a good command of the English language no matter how good they are at writing BIOS code. ;)
