Title: Which audio is better in GA-890GPA-UD3H?
Post by: Traveller on September 15, 2011, 10:21:42 pm
Hi all.

I have a few questions regarding the audio features provided with this motherboard.

The manual states 'The front panel audio header supports Intel High Definition audio (HD) and AC'97 audio' on page 30.

If I were to play a 'normal' media file that is saved on my pc (not hd or whatever), which of the two options provides the better quality audio?

Does it make any difference if the video is or isn't HD?

Is the Dolby surround and 2/4/5.1/7.1-Channel Audio features of the AC'97 only or does the Intel High Definition have these also?

Does listening via headphones affect the answers to any of the above questions?

Any advice would be very appreciated.

Thanks.
