Title: GA-G41MT-USB3 and 1333 MHz memory
Post by: sam_2011 on September 20, 2011, 03:39:06 am
I have a GA-G41MT-USB3 motherboard (FSB 333 MHz) that takes 1333 MHz memory when overclocked.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
BIOS Setup:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

(G)MCH Frequency Latch is set to [AUTO] which is the default

System Memory multiplier (SPD) can be set to one of: AUTO, 2.40B, 3.20B, 4.00C, 3.00A, or 4.00A

Item help displays the following:

[AUTO] set memory frequency by DRAM SPD data

X.XXA => FSB 266 MHz
X.XXB => FSB 333 MHz
X.XXC => FSB 200 MHz

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Setting System Memory multiplier (SPD) to either 4.00A or 4.00C works fine.

(1) Shouldn't there be a 4.00B since this is an FSB 333 MHz mothorboard?

(2) Is selecting one of 4.00A or 4.00C prefered over the other or they are equally the same.

Thanks,
Sam
