Hi and welcome.

It was only on the origianl reference versions of the card that were basically exactly the same as the 6970 they it was possible to do this. Since then this has been disabled and the card has changed.

I have been after a 6950 reference card as I wanted to use a full cover water block and the only cards that accept them is the reference versions. They are just about impossible to get now though.  :'(

The GV-R695OC-1GD is based off the reference PCB so you know. ;D I'm not sure if it's completely identical to the reference boards but the water blocks might still fit it you're still trying to do that.
