I love the look of this 8.9″ mini-tablet/netbook - it's just the sort of thing I need as a student. Any news on UK pricing/release date?

It would be nice to have some official word from Gigabyte though.

There are (favourable) reviews of the different models at http://www.umpcportal.com (http://www.umpcportal.com) now. The M version looks like the one for me with its LED-lit screen.
I think Gigabyte should market this to students (such as myself) with perhaps a nice discount. It looks to be a device ideally suited to students (and others as well of course). I'd be happy to carry this around my University (Kingston). If Gigabyte were to give me a free one I think it would be paid for many times over with the advertising they'd get as result.
Well one has to try. ;)

Currently we have the T1028 series, which will soon be replaced by the T1000 series
We will have 2 models of T1000 - a Single-touch screen and a Multi-touch screen coming soon to the UK
