Title: Application eXtreme Hard Drive does not work, what to do?
Post by: melosamir on October 20, 2011, 10:06:57 pm
Hello, I'm new here on the forum recently purchased the GA USB3 rev 870A. 3.1, but I am not able to activate the option eXtreme Hard Drive this mobo. According to my own this Gigabyte board features support this function, it has the SB850 south-bridge chipset. Even my BIOS is already updated with the latest version of the F4. XHD installed the program, but in time to perform the following message appears in a window: "Warning: No additional hard drive is available for migration!". After I click "ok" and the program does not open. My pc is running two 500GB WD drives in RAID0 and every BIOS is all set up and recognized normally. All controller drivers are also installed.  ???

Hi there,

I have only played with this software a little bit and sadly there are no instructions as to how to use it properly. There seems to be only three options: AUTO, Manual and Exit!

If you only have the 2 HDD's already installed and running in a RAID0 array then there is nothing for the software to do and you need to add a third HDD of the same size (or larger) to add to the Array before it will do anything.

As I understand it so I have to add another hard drive in order to use the program. Okay, man, thanks for the info. Have a good night.
