Title: USB 3.0 connectivity at the front of the cabinet for GA-Z68AP-D3 motherboard

The motherboard has connectivity pins labelled as F_USB3.0. What is it for? Can I get a USB 3.0 connectivity to the front of the cabinet? My cabinet is cooler master and it has usb 3.0 port.

Hi and welcome.

If your case has a USB3.0 port at the front panel then it will normally be already wired up and all you have to do is use the connected cable to join it to the motherboard USB3.0 header. On some cases they do things differently and expect you to use one of your existing USB3.0 ports as the feed for the front panel port. This is something I am still coming across in review cases now.

Thank you for your reply. My cabinet is Cooler Master and it has a usb 3.0 port at the front. Hence wanted to be sure if the motherboard GA-Z68AP-D3 (ver 1.0) has usb 3.0 headers connectivity on it as in the specifications of the board it is not provided.

Hi there,

sadly the GA-Z68AP-D3 Rev 1.0 doesn't have a USB3.0 Header so you will not be able to connect the USB3.0 ports on the case to the motherboard.
