Title: GA-P35-DS3P bios screen video problem
Post by: keithw on January 13, 2012, 12:36:08 pm
Hi,

I have a GA-P35-DS3P mb with E6400 overclocked to 3.19Ghz with 4Gb Ram and a GEForce 6800GT video card running windows 7 64 bit. Display is a sony 40" half HD LCDTV connected using the vga input. It has been running succesfully at his overclock for a number of years but was recently upgraded to Windows 7. All was well when I first upgraded. It continues to boot ok in that it displays the initial POST screen and then boots into windows ok BUT if I try to enter the CMOS setup by pressing del the screen goes black and doesn't do anything until i press esc/ F10 etc so it is actually in setup but doesn't display it.

If I swap the tv for my samsung monitor it works ok.

TV is connected to video card by DVI to VGA adaptor.

Any suggestions/ help? Its annoying me because I can't see what the difference is between the POST screen and entering SETUP in terms of screen mode
