Play "Spot the Difference" competition at our Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/GIGABYTE.UK?sk=app_201143516562748) for a chance to win the awesome GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD7 (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3880#ov) motherboard.
Then place your reply with the number of differences you have spotted on our Facebook competition post (http://www.facebook.com/questions/362921453721507/?qa_ref=qd). A winner will be picked at random from the correct responses. Competition closes 23:59 on 29th Feb 2012.

No way! I've found 13 which I'm reasonably sure are intentional (not artefacts arising from compression)!

If I stare any more I will go blind, even with my 27' monitor my eyes are killing me, you don't work for some spectacle company do you?.

It doesn't help that the quality of the images especially the "edited" one is not as good as could be. If you try and enlarge the pictures for a better look they just go fuzzy.

Yes I noticed, sorry for this to all. My colleague who prepared the images must have MUCH better eyes ;) then rest of us, usual mortals...

If the grainy image is part of the competition ... fair enough .... if not is the high res original file still available for posting to give us all an unfair advantage ;)

I hope that they ask for everyone's answer for that group and then decide who the winner is. My meaning is the odds go way up from a pool of 100 if in reality there are only 10 correct answers. I would rather be picked from 10 than from 100. That is my point of view any ways.

Well it appears that all who entered "Spot the Difference" from Gigabyte really lost. They claim there were only 11 or 12 (Make up your mind Gigabyte) but that does not say there were more? In fact there was more (14 Differences). Me and 5 others found them but they never asked and Furthermore they never showed and picture to back them up,Just referring me to their Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/GIGABYTE.UK/posts/399538220059830?comment_id=5635083) You mind telling me and the rest of the World where the Picture is at your page cause all I see is a list of people that are congratulating Jonathan.

If you read through the Facebook responses you will find:
After internal discussion in our office the decision was made to qualify for the random draw all of you who chose 11 or 12 differences, even there were 12 of them to be precise. It's because of some people complained about the quality of the picture we provided.

++ Coloured line on heatsink changed colour (Gold -> Pink)
++ SATA3 socket changed colour (Grey -> Black)
++ UD7 made into UD9 on box
++ Ultra Durable 3 Logo changed to Classic logo (Orange -> Blue)
++ PCI made into PCI-E 16x
++ Capacitor missing between 1st and 2nd PCI-Ex slots
++ 108 dB logo replaced by crossed Pb logo in front of 4th PCI-Ex slot (on PCB)
++ Top right audio jack changed colour (Blue -> Yellow)
++ LAN Socket activity lights missing
++ Screw missing on Box heatsink
++ (TM) missing from "Ultra Durable 3 Motherboard" on box
++ Crop mark off top of the box for serial number sticker, corner missing
No, I don't work for Gigabyte and all I did was read through the link you provided to find the answers and I hope it helps clarify things for you.

The thing is there is always someone who "finds" something extra but the company is running the competition and they must have the final say. Well done Jonathon for winning and I hope that you will post some piccies of the board when you have done your build. ;)

Here is my picture of 14 Differences. ;)....I am not asking for anything. I am just reporting that there are more than the 11 that were reported. I still build with Gigabyte and more than likely will only use Gigabyte for my Motherboard preferences.

I would agree with your differences apart from the fact that with the Ultra Durable 3 Logo changed to Classic logo (Orange -> Blue) you have correctly circled but then expect to include a further difference on that logo. Obviously it can only count as one alteration. ;)
