Title: xpress recover 2
Post by: Arith on February 10, 2012, 02:40:54 pm
I tried to install express recovery 2 on GA 970A UD3 and although I left 100GB unallocated it instead partitioned my mobo dvd. The sata connections are optical drive first since this is my first boot device then sata 1-5 hdd's

How should it be connected? if that is what is wrong. :-\

Main hard drives first and last sata dvd drive. On mine i have in sata-0 my ssd then in sata-1 and -2 are my raided hard drives and in sata-3 my spare 500 gig movie and backup hard drive. Then in 4 and 5 are my sata dvd drives and no problems.

Agreed! Always best to have the boot drive on SATA_0 and set to AHCI mode if popssible and not in a RAID configuration. Then the optical drives on the slowest ports and set to IDE mode as some optical drives can play up when tried to run under AHCI.
