Title: Advice on this fan.

Hi all.

I brought this fan last week and now i'm not sure what to do with it, this link is the only one i could find that has a

It seems  to have a thermistor on the inside but it has a PWM plug, from what i've been reading

some say to crush it or cut it off & solder it to get full speed but i'm not sure if it would still be able to control the speed with

PWM from the motherboard.

With the maximum speed (4500RPM) this fan is not noiseless. (This is my opinion).

Have you posibility to add a 120mm Fan on the Case? I suppose is for the case.
With a maximum speed around 2000 RPM.

Where you put a fan? Inside a case, back, side or front of case?
Check if you make a hole for a 120mm is possible?

Add a picture here ... and you receive help from me and maybe other member.

The superred fan have (this is my sense) a good option : 4 pins fan connector.
Is not write Brushless into sticker. so no noiseless write too, in fact not at all.

So my conclusion : This fan is not recommanded.

I would agree with Gloup_Gloup on this. None of these 35mm fans are noiseless or even quiet when running at full speed.  They are efficient in moving large volumes of air but silence is not something they do well.

I am not quite sure what your question is however. A PWM fan can run at full speed as long as the controller is feeding it with full power.

Hi.

O.K. i'll try again, I know it's not noiseless that's not the problem. ( Not to bad by the way )

I'd like to know if I cut & solder where the thermistor is ( disabling it ) will the fan run as a normal PWM fan should

or will it run at full speed all the time, anyone done it to this type of fan or know anything about it.

That any clearer.

Hi there,

If you are careful when removing the thermisistor and soldering, the fan should work via the PWM . I have done this on several fans without a problem.
