Title: 990FXA-UD3 1.0 bios f6f + Valve CEG game issues
Post by: Neo_182 on March 04, 2012, 08:26:50 am
Hi.
I'm sorry if this issue has been posted previously. I've been terribly sick the past few days and i don't often search forums as i consider myself quite knowledgeable when it comes to these kinds of things.

Anyway.

Lately i've been having alot of issues running certain games off Steam.

Two of which are The Darkness 2 and Saints Row the Third.

They seem to cause bluescreens the moment i launch them.

After doing some searches on google i saw that i haven't been the only one with this issue.

I noticed someone posted a torrent with a beta bios. But as i do not feel using a bios that a complete stranger posted , i opted for a later bios available on the official website. (f6f)

I launched SRTT and was able to play for a few minutes. It then bluescreened again.

I'm a little puzzled. Is this a motherboard related issue? Or is this a processor issue?

If anyone has any ideas or answers please feel free to post!

Thank you!

*update*
Think i'm running into this issue...

Again , any help would be appreciated.

Your best bet is to contac gigabyte tech support and pose the question to them as per that thread with the modified  bios seemed to fix most of their problems.
